What counts as a call?
Each MCP tool invocation or REST request counts once. Counts reset on the 1st of each month (UTC).
Does MemoryLayer see my memories?
No. The memory graph runs on your machine. The license server only receives your key and anonymous usage counts — never memory content.
What happens if I go over my limit?
Calls return a clear error with an upgrade link. Your memories are untouched, and the quota resets next month.
Can I use it without a key?
Yes — you run at Free-plan limits. The key is how usage is counted, not a gate on the core tools.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from your dashboard. You keep your plan until the end of the billing period.
